| The representatives of ICR visiting TIPC on 23 August |

The 22nd International Congress of Refrigeration, sponsored by International Institute of Refrigeration(IIR/IIF), was held successfully in Beijing on 21-26 August. On the afternoon of 23rd, twenty-three representatives from twelve countries visited Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry(TIPC). Professor Liang Jingtao---the vice director of TIPC and the vice chairman of the IIR A1 professional committee---in half of the institute expressed ovation to the visitors. He introduced the research organization and important research directions about refrigeration and cryogenics in TIPC, and elaborated the future research emphasis. Later, the representatives visited seven key laboratory and had an impassioned discussion with the researchers. They were interested in the research works and gave the high evaluation.
IIR includes the members of sixty-one countries, which represents 80% of the world population. International Congress of Refrigeration(ICR) is hold every four years by IIR/IIF. The 22nd international congress of refrigeration is the Olympic convention of the world refrigeration field, which is undertaken by Chinese Association of Refrigeration(CAR). There are more than one thousand representatives joining the congress. This is for the first time that International Congress of Refrigeration is being held in Asia and in a developing country.
