As part of session reports of CAS 60 anniversary, Science Times published a special report about TIPC on October 11.

Science Times is the official news bulletin of CAS. As the first science and technology newspaper and one of the first professional newspapers of China, it helped to shape the model of science reporting in China. It quickly established its reputation as the most authoritative source of Chinese science news.

2009 is an important year which marks the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as well as the 10th anniversary of TIPC. The Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was founded in June 1999 on the basis of the former Institute of Photographic Chemistry, the former Cryogenic Laboratory as well as some relevant departments of Beijing Research and Development Center of Artificial Crystals and the Institute of Chemistry and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
