Prof. SHI Feng from Beijing University of Chemical Technology Visited TIPC on Nov. 30thand gave a wonderful lecture entitled From Smart Materials to Smart Devices: Studies on the Stimulus-responsive activity to move small materials.

In the lecture, Prof. SHI Feng introduced his research on moving small materials by stimulus-responsive activities. Small materials can be moved by single stimulus and coordination of two kinds of stimuli, both of which have potential applications in the synthesis of three-dimension materials.

After the speech, Prof. SHI answered some questions and had a discussion with researchers and students on related areas.

Prof. SHI Feng’s general fields of research include nanomaterials, polymers, surface chemistry and colloidal interface chemistry.
