Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences ( TIPCCAS ) and Photonics Advanced Research Center of Osaka University ( PARCOU ) signed an agreement to establish China-Japan Joint Laboratory on Advanced Photonics on September 22, 2011.
Vice-director ZHAO Zhensheng on behalf of TIPCCAS and executive director S. Kawata on behalf of PARCOU signed the agreement. In addition, a ceremony was held to celebrate the establishment of the collaborated laboratory.
Mutual cooperation has been carried out between TIPCCAS and Osaka University and many students have been benefited since 2004. The establishment of China-Japan Joint Laboratory on Advanced Photonics is to facilitate the cooperation between the two parties and help carry out joint research projects on advanced photonics.
This project has been supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
