In article number 1502585, Tierui Zhang and co-workers report Ni3FeN nanoparticles with a particle size of 100 nm and a thickness of ≈9 nm synthesized by thermal ammonolysis of ultrathin NiFe-layered double hydroxide nanosheets. The Ni3FeN nanoparticles show extraordinarily high performance and stability for overall water splitting into hydrogen and oxygen with low overpotentials, which exhibited better activity than most other noble-metal-free electrocatalysts and commercial Pt/C.Advanced Energy Materials Volume 6, Issue 10 May 25, 2016 |
