Invited by Functional Nanomaterials Research Group, Prof. Toyoki Kunitake visited Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS, and gave a lecture entitled “Recent Developments in Giant Nanomembranes”.
In the presentation, He introduced the most recent results of his group on preparation and application of synthetic bilayers, ionic transport nanomembranes and organic-inorganic hybrid giant nanomembranes, as well as a new method to measure the mechanical property of giant nanomembranes using optical microscope and AFM. The audience had lively discussion about the presentation with Prof. Toyoki Kunitake. After the lecture, Prof. Toyoki Kunitake visited Technical Institute of physics and Chemistry, and had more discussion with members of Functional Nanomaterials research group.
Prof. Toyoki Kunitake is an internationally well-known scientist. His research interests include synthetic bilayer membranes, ultrathin films, LB films, monolayers, and supramolecular assemblies. He has published over 600 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and is among the most cited chemists in the world.
Director Xinhou Liu met and talked warmly with Prof. Toyoki Kunitake before the lecture. |
