Invited by Key Laboratory of Photochemical Conversion and Optoelectronic Materials, Prof. Vaidyanathan Ramamurthy (University of Miami, USA) and Prof. Cornelia Bohne (University of Victoria, Canada), visited Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS, on 7th August, 2008. And they gave lectures entitled "Chemistry in a capsule" and "Kinetic Photophysical Studies in Supramolecular Dynamics", respectively.

　　Prof. V. Ramamurthy currently is the chair, Department of Chemistry, University of Miami, and Senior Editor of Langmuir, the American Chemical Society. He edited the books - "Molecular and Supramolecular Photochemistry". His researches focused on the Photochemistry in constrained systems, and had published over 300 papers. In the lecture, Prof. V. Ramamurthy introduced the most recent advances of his group on the study of "Photochemistry in a capsule".

　　Prof. C. Bohne is the Chairman of Inter-American Photochemical Society, and Associate Editor of Photochemistry and Photobiology. In the lecture, she introduced the kinetic photophysical studies in supramolecular dynamics.

　　After the lectures, Prof. V. Ramamurthy and C. Bohne visited Supramolecular Photochemistry Research Lab, and had more detailed discussion with members of the research group on interested subjects.
