Invited by National Research Center of Engineering Plastics，Dr. Jie Song from University of Massachusetts Medical School visited TIPC and made a lecture entitled Nanostructured Polymer Composites for Orthopaedic Applications for our researchers and students on July 6.

In the lecture,the design and application of an elastomeric osteoconductive nanocomposite for expedited repair of critical-sized femoral segmental defect in rats, and a nanoparticle-mediated strategy towards high-performance shape memory polymer implants is presented.

Dr. Jie Song ‘s research interests include the application of functional polymer nano-Composites materials in engineering and nanostructured biological materials applied in biological medicine imaging.
