Prof. Jung Y. Huang from Chiao Tung University paid a visit to TIPC,CAS on Aug. 10, 2010 and gave a lecture entitled “An Overview of Photonic Science Research Programs in the Department of Photonics of Chiao Tung University for the Next Decade”.

In his lecture, Prof. Jung Y. Huang gave a brief introduction to the department of photonics, Chiao Tung University. Then he introduced four topics which he expects to cooperate with TIPC,CAS, including computational optics and nanostructured materials, atomic-scale optical spectroscopy of nano objects, etc. He also presented three qualities of scientific breakthroughs.

Prof. Jung Y. Huang graduated from Taiwan University in 1976 and received his doctor’s degree in Cornell university in 1988.He has been involved in optical physics, laser and nonlinear spectroscopy, gondens-matter physics materials research in department of photonics, Chiao Tung University for almost 20 years.
