Prof. Michael Bolte and Prof. Ray Carlberg , directors of The Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) board, visited TIPC,CAS on Sep. 2, 2010.

Prof. Michael Bolte, director of University of California Observatory, made a speech on progress of TMT in University of California. Prof. Xue Suijian from National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a speech on progress of TMT in China. Bo Yong and Liu Liqiang from TIPC, CAS also made speeches on research progress of their teams.

The speech attracted about 30 scientists, researchers and graduate students. Both sides except further exchange and cooperation in the future.
