Dr. Y. A. Wang from Ocean NanoTech visited TIPC on Dec. 27thand gave a wonderful lecture entitled Biocompatible Inorganic Nanoparticles for Molecular Imaging.

In the lecture, Dr. Y. A. Wang introduced the applications of functional inorganic nanoparticles in biomedicine. Ocean NanoTech commercialized functional inorganic nanoparticles such as quantum dots, iron oxide nanoparticles, and gold nanoparticles, as well as nanobeads for biomedical applications. Dr. Y. A. Wang introduced his research on the development of target-specific contrast agents for optical imaging, MRI, and CT. Also Dr. Y. A. Wang talked about the challenges in their clinical applications and Ocean’s business strategy.

After the lecture, Dr. Wang answered some questions and had a further discussion with professors and students.
