Invited by State Engineering Research Center of Engineering Plastics, Dr. Lin’ge Wang from University of Sheffield visited Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIPC, CAS) on Aug. 18 and gave a wonderful lecture entitled Generate Functional Materials from Nanostructured Block Copolymers.
In the lecture, Dr. Lin’ge Wang introduced two applications of his recent research on the materials involve: (1) fabricating nanofiber of block copolymer and rearranging the inner structure via self-assembly. (2) preparing polymersome, or polymer vesicles, from pH-responsive block copolymer and their application on drug delivery and gene therapy.
Focusing on some hot spots on functional materials, the researchers and students took lively discussion with Dr. Lin’ge Wang. The participants thought they had obtained much knowledge in the fields of generating functional materials from nanostructured block copolymers.
