On 17 September 2015, OSTA visited the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry (TIPCCAS) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Acting Director, Mr Helmut Spitzl, gave a presentation about Science and Technology in Austria and introduced the upcoming joint call with TIPC, CAS on advanced materials. Deputy Director Prof. WANG Pengfei gave an overview about TIPCCAS and three researchers presented their findings in the areas of liquid metal materials, bionic intelligent materials and organic nano-photonics. Prof. WANG as well as the other researchers expressed a strong interest in cooperating with Austria and are looking forward to jointly hosting a roundtable in January 2016.
