The Research Center for Organic Optical Waveguide Material and Devices

About
The Research Center for Organic Optical Waveguide Material and Devices was founded in 2004 based on the former two research groups. The research activities in the center cover synthesis of passive or active devices. The undertaken projects in the center include those from National Hi-Tech Reserch and Development Program(863), National Program for Base as well as contracted projects from industries. More 200 peer-reviewed papers have been published. Recently, siganificant program has been made in the center. For examples, the innovative passive optical waveguide materials invente in the center awarded the National Prize for progress in National Science Reserch (Class II). There are 4 full time research professors, 1 senior engineer,10 reserch assistants, as well as 15 MS and PhD students, The center has been well equipped with facilities for syntheses and chracterazation of optical waveguide material and for preparation and processing of relevant devices.
