| About |
| Research Center of Pulse Tube Refrigeration and Spatial Cryogenic System Technology (“Pulse Tube Center” for short hereinafter) was founded in 2004 as “Pulse Tube Research Group”, and was pitched to be an academic unit aiming at cultivating cryogenics and refrigeration technicians and engaging in research of cryogenic system technology and its industrialization. Presently the Pulse Tube Center is worldwide leading in pulse tube refrigeration technology, cryogenic integration technology and cryogenic system technology. In the history of pulse tube refrigerator development, the Pulse Tube Center has created several world records of lowest temperature. The Pulse Tube Center now has 16 researchers, among which 1 is the academician of Chinese Academy of Science, 5 are professors, 2 are senior experimentalists, and 2 are research associates. The Pulse Tube Center now has 9 postgraduates, among which 8 are PhD candidates and 1 is master candidate, and 6 PhDs and 9 masters have graduated here. The Pulse Tube Center has issued over 200 papers and owned over 10 patents applied for. In respect of experiment construction, the Pulse Tube Center has an over-100-m2 clean room, 3 molecular pumps, 4 digital oscillographs and 3 five-channel signal collecting systems, which can provide basic conditions for research and development of spatial pulse tube refrigerators. |
