To deal with the characteristics of high water cut (above 90%) and high recovery degree (20 ~ 35%) of main oil fields in our Country, Professor Wu Feipeng’s research group, Laboratory of Functional Polymer, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, has developed series of nano- and micro-hydrogel based on water-soluble polymer with depth profile control for enhanced oil recover after three years efforts. These nano- and micro-hydrogel have micro-mechanical elasticity, can adjust the permeability of oil reservoir after being injected into fields. Good results from both laboratory and oil field appraisals are achieved. This technology supplies a new, reliable and high-efficient technical route for enhanced oil recovery of water driver reservoir in our Country. It is also a powerful means to reconstruct and stable recovery efficiency of old oil fields. In present, this technology has been paid a high attention by related main oil fields. It is expected to be large-scale promoted and implemented in the 11th Five-Year Plan.
