Diode-pumped high power Nd:YAG lasers operating around 1.1 μm are always the most attractive laser system desired in remote monitoring, chemical testing, and nonlinear optical harmonic generation and etc. Especially, the 1112-nm lasers can be applied in selecting photo-ionization in laser chemistry and used as a pump source for thulium up-conversion fiber lasers to produce blue laser emission. Moreover, the yellow-green and ultraviolet (UV) lasers can be generated through second harmonic generation (SHG) and fourth harmonic generation (FHG) of 1112-nm lasers, which have many attractive applications in laser display, atmospheric remote sensing, medical treatment, laser precision manufacture, and bio-analysis fields.
