Invited by Key Laboratory of Photochemical Conversion and Optoelectronic Materials, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIPCCAS), Prof. Wenfang Sun from North Dakota State University visited TIPC, CAS on June, 12 and gave an academic report entitled Platinum Terdentate / Diimine Complexes as Broadband Nonlinear Absorbing Materials.
In the report, Prof. Wenfang Sun introduced their research progress of broadband nonlinear absorbing materials. Studies have confirmed that Platinum Terdentate / Diimine Complexes are fine broadband nonlinear absorbing materials. This research work has very important theoretical guidance for the development of new nonlinear absorbing materials.
After the report, the researchers and students took lively discussion with Prof. Wenfang Sun.
Prof. Wenfang Sun got Organic Chemistry Ph.D. degree at Institute of Photographic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1995. She is now Walter F. and Verna Gehrts Professor in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of North Dakota State University. Her research interests include Organic/organometallic nonlinear optical materials, organic/organometallic, light emitting materials, photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy and optical sensors.
