Invited by Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIPC,CAS), the executive EiC of Nature Communications, Dr. Ed Gerstner, visited TIPC on June, 19 and gave a report entitled How to get published in Nature (and its sister titles).

In the report, Dr. Ed Gerstner introduced in detail of the research fields, published contents and the publishing process of Nature Communications.

Ed joined Nature Publishing Group in 2002 as Editor of the Nature Physics Portal and NPG Materials Update. He's been an Associate Editor for Nature and Nature Materials, and helped to launch Nature Physics as its Senior Editor. In these various positions, Ed handled a broad range of physical science manuscripts, and is now responsible for forging closer links with the Chinese research community from Nature Communications' Shanghai office. Ed obtained his PhD in physics from the University of Sydney in 1997, and spent five years in research at the Universities of Sydney, Cambridge and Surrey, and at Philips Research Laboratories in Redhill.
