Invited by the CAS Key Laboratory of Cryogenics and Beijing Key Laboratory of Thermal Science and Technology, Prof. Shiming Deng from Hong Kong Polytechnic University delivered a seminar entitled Optimized frosting and defrosting for air source heat pumps at TIPC on August 14th.
Prof. Shiming Deng teaches in the Department of Building Services Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a senior member of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (FHKIE) and an ASHRAE member of the United States. During the seminar, Prof. Deng presented his research on the optimized frosting and defrosting for air source heat pumps and discussed with TIPC faculties and students. The report involved the uneven frosting and its mitigation, the frost growth and distribution on an FTHE and improved indoor thermal comfort during defrost with a novel TES based reverse-cycle defrosting method for ASHPs.
Prof. Shiming Deng was giving the lecture.
