Invited by the CAS Key Laboratory of Bio-inspired Materials and Interfacial Science and the TIPC Youth Forum, Prof. HUANG Shuo from Nanjing University delivered a seminar entitled “High throughput optical nanopore array and the application in base damage” at TIPC on April 18, 2019.
Prof. HUANG Shuo mainly focuses on the fundamental study of single molecule biophysics and its corresponding applications, such as optical nanopore sequencing, single molecule medical diagnosis devices, and nanopore based multi-modal optical platform. During the seminar, Prof. HUANG Shuo introduced the history of the nanopore based sequencing, the latest development in this field and his work in optical nanopore sequencing. He also developed the high throughput optical sensing of the nucleic acids in nanopore array technique. Also, by employing the osmosis effect, his group realized the motion-type regulation of the nanopore for parallel optical nucleic acid sequencing. Finally, he enthusiastically discussed with faculties and students of TIPC.
