Invited by the CAS Key Laboratory of Bio-inspired Materials and Interfacial Science and the TIPC Youth Forum, Prof. LI Dan from Jinan University delivered a seminar entitled “Supramolecular Coordination Self-Assembly and Its Functionalization Strategy” at TIPC on August 13, 2019.
Prof. LI Dan's research interests focus on the functional changes (including luminescence, chirality, adsorption, etc.) of supramolecular assemblies before and after assembly and aggregation, etc. The research fields include functional synergistic regulation of dual structural motifs, secondary component self-assembly, and metal-organic frameworks (MOF) based on biomolecular motifs. During the seminar, Prof. LI Dan introduced the chemical modification of the ring trinuclear metal (I) pyrazole molecular motif based on the planar configuration, which could be designed as a self-correcting molecular-based luminescence thermometer; A series of coordination cage compounds, metal-organic metal framework materials and supramolecular frameworks were successfully constructed by solvothermal secondary component self-assembly technology, which could be used for the adsorption of inorganic small molecules (CO2、N2, etc.) or organic guest molecules (organic dye molecules, vitamin B12, etc.). Finally, he enthusiastically discussed with faculties and students of TIPC.
