Prof. Zeev Zalevsk from Bar-llan University, Israel visited TIPC

Update time:2019-09-16

Invited by the Research Center of Imaging Materials and Technology, Key Laboratory of Photochemical Conversion and Optoelectronic Materials (CAS) and the TIPC Youth Forum, Prof. Zeev Zalevsky, the upcoming Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Bar-llan University, Israel, delivered two wonderful academic reports at TIPC on August 14th, 2019.

The first report titled is "Breaking the limits of resolution and depth of focus in label-free micro-endoscopy and nanoscopy". In the report, Prof. Zeev Zalevsky systematically introduced the problem of resolution and focus depth limitation in recent years by his group using novel photon methods and applied those concepts for micro endoscopy and for ophthalmic devices.

Another academic report topic is "Light based Remote Infra through Ultra Sounds Extraction: Remote Photonic Bio-Sensing and Diseases Diagnosis". It mainly describes the principles of accurate remote optical biosensing and disease diagnosis, and plays a vital role in future disease detection. Simultaneously, it introduces in detail how to realize advanced remote detection technology such as remote detection of blood sugar, heart rate and sound, lugs sound and rate, blood pressure, alcohol concentration in blood stream, hemodynamic activity in blood arteries and more.

During the seminar, Prof. Zeev Zalevsky has deeply impressed the audience by his profound physical, optical foundation and subtle academic reports. After the report, Prof. Zeev Zalevsky discussed with TIPC faculties and students.

Prof. Zeev Zalevsky is currently the upcoming Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Bar-llan University, Israel. He has long been engaged in research on super-resolution microscopy, optical imaging equipment and biomedical diagnostic technologies. At same time, he has published more than 500 articles in leading journals including also Nature Photonics, Nature Commun. Scientific reports, Nano Lett., ACS Nano, ACS Photonics, Proceedings of the IEEE, Additive Manufacturing, Advances in Optics and Photonics etc. Meanwhile, he has served as an Associate Editor in IEEE Access Journal, Opt. Express, and Journal of Imaging Science and Technology, etc. Recently, Prof. Zeev Zalevsky has obtained the grant for working in Research Center of Imaging Materials and Technology of TIPC in 2019 from the President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
