Prof. John M. Pfotenhauer from University of Wisconsin Visited TIPC

Update time:2019-09-16

Invited by the CAS Key Laboratory of Cryogenics and the TIPC Youth Forum, Prof. John M. Pfotenhauer from University of Wisconsin delivered several academic reports titled with”A Design Project Using Cryogenic Properties” at TIPC on September 2nd to 6th.

Prof. John M. Pfotenhauer is a world-renowned expert in the field of superconducting and cryogenic applications. During the seminar, Prof. John M. Pfotenhauer clarified the cryogenic properties about specific heat, thermal conductivity, material strength and electrical properties. John M. Pfotenhauer also gave a detailed introduction to the design method on Multilayer Insulation, current lead and superconductors. Students have a deeper understanding about superconducting system.

During the visit of the TIPC, Prof. John M. Pfotenhauer also exchanged and discussed the pulsating heat pipe technology and the thermodynamic problems about oscillating flow refrigeration.
