Update time:2019-10-10

The 19th International Metrology Congress (CIM), organized by International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), was held in Paris, France from September 24th to 26th, 2019. At this congress, GAO Bo, a researcher at Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, won the Oral Best Paper Award, which is the first time that Chinese scientists have won the award.

CIM is a world metrology congress held every two years, discussing the development of measurement testing and instrument manufacturing technology in scientific research and engineering applications. The 19th CIM had more than 1,000 participants from 50 countries. The congress selected one best oral and one best poster. At this congress, Researcher GAO Bo gave a report entitled “Progress towards SPRIGT from 5 K to 25 K with pressures up to 60 kPa” which introduced the experimental results associated with the natural constant (Boltzmann constant) obtained in the 5-25K temperature zone the first time under the New Kelvin framework, received extensive attention and praise from international peer experts.
