The visit was aimed to understand the current situation of China-France cooperation and promote the further scientific and technological cooperation in future. The delegation is welcomed and accompanied by Prof. WANG Shutao, deputy director of TIPC.
Prof. WANG Shutao firstly extended a warm welcome to the visit of DDG Xu Jie, Counsellor Marc DAUMAS, Counsellor Tony d'ALETTO and the delegation. He introduced TIPC, the development of cryogenic metrology research in TIPC, as well as the achievements of cooperation between TIPC and LNE briefly. Prof. WANG also appreciated to the support and attention paid by MOST and Embassy of France in China to the TIPC-LNE Joint Laboratory.
DDG XU Jie reviewed the international scientific and technological cooperation between China and France in recent years. He also expressed his appreciation for the substantive progress and achievements made by TIPC-LNE Joint Laboratory on Cryogenic Metrology Science and Technology. Counsellor Marc DAUMAS gave a presentation on France - China cooperation projects, plans in education, scientific and technological innovation.
Prof. GAO Bo, deputy director of TIPC-LNE Joint Laboratory, reported the establishment, development process and cooperation achievements of TIPC-LNE Joint Laboratory on Cryogenic Metrology Science and Technology. She also introduced the research works in progress and plans in future. Prof. Laurent Pitre, French side deputy director of the Joint Laboratory, highlighted the work content, cooperation significance and planning of the LNE in his online report.
After the report session, the delegation visited the lab. Researchers from the Joint Laboratory elaborated the designing and working principle of the equipment of the primary thermometer for low temperature zone. They also answered the questions from the delegation during the site visiting.
The participants from the French Embassy discussed a lot with TIPC’s representatives on TIPC-LNE Joint Laboratory’s future working plan in the fields of low-temperature measurement cooperation and talent exchange. Besides, they expressed the expectation in carrying out win-win cooperation in high-level talent training, scientific and technological innovation based on the platform of the Sino-French joint laboratory.
As a summarize, DDG XU Jie highly affirmed the scientific and technological cooperation achievements of the TIPC-LNE joint laboratory in the field of cryogenic metrology. In addition, he put forward expectations and requirements for the in-depth cooperation of the TIPC-LNE joint laboratory and the deepening of Sino-French multi-field cooperation in the future.
