Invited by Prof. ZHANG Zhentao, Director of the Key Laboratory of Equipment and Energy Saving Technology for Processing and Storage of Agricultural and Pharmaceutical Products in Light Industry, affiliated to the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIPC-CAS), Professor Olimjon Abdullaev and his delegation visited TIPC on Dec 7th. 

Prof. Olim is the director of Innovation Center of the Uzbekistan Namangan State University. His research group is now working with Prof. ZHANG’s team on an international cooperation project.    

During the meeting, the Chinese and Uzbek research teams, represented by Dr. LI Xiaoqiong, Dr. XU Peng, and Dr. Abdukhakim Ashurmatov, discussed the progress of the cooperation project "Research on key technology and equipment of low-carbon drying processing of Chinese and Uzbek characteristic medicinal plants." Researchers from both team discussed a lot on licorice drying processes, product transformations during drying, and efficient rapid drying methods. 

In addition, Dr. LI Xiaoqiong introduced Prof. Olim to the "6C" technologies research and development system, which pertains to Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). The system encompasses various aspects such as Carbon Drive (compressor), Carbon Cooling (refrigeration), Carbon Heating (heating pump), Carbon Extraction, Carbon Electricity (energy storage), and Carbon Reduction. Both parties engaged in discussions regarding the potential expansion of cooperative efforts in this field. 

After the meeting, Prof. Olim and his group also visit Langfang Campus.
