Working on development of large-scale refrigeration and cryogenic systems and engineering at CERN for a long time. Wu participated in the integration, regulation, on-site supervision, technical support of CERN cryogenic systems and long-term management of large-scale cryogenic refrigerators, hosted the design and development of CERN detector refrigeration system and undertook the development of several different temperature zones for refrigeration and cryogenic systems. Specially hired as a senior researcher at CERN in 2009.

Research Fields:
1. Integration and key technology development of large-scale cryogenic refrigeration equipment
2. Comprehensive optimization of dense energy cryogenic vessels; Thermal safety and practicality of cryogenic fuel storage systems
3. Low temperature insulation and heat transfer technology
4. Design and development of (space) cryogenic refrigeration system
5. Measurement of cryogenic materials properties and database construction
