Gong Maoqiong, male, born in 1971, researcher and doctoral supervisor of Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, awarded with National Outstanding Youth Foundation. Gong got his B. Eng. degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University after studying from 1989 to 1993, M. Eng. degree from Cryogenic Technology Experimental Center, CAS after studying from 1996 to 1999 and Ph. D. degree from Institute of Mechanics, CAS in 2002. Gong worked as visiting scholar in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the United States from Oct. 2005 to Sept. 2006, used to be awarded as Second Class Award of the State Technological Invention Award, China Youth Science and Technology Award, etc. nearly 60 invention patents are authorized, more than 240 papers are published, of which more than 80 were included in SCI and one book was published.

Research Fields:
1. Deep-cooled multi-component mixed refrigerant throttling refrigeration technology and its application
1) Natural gas armored liquefaction plant technology (including BOG reliquefaction plant technology)
2) Low temperature quick freezing, storage, freeze drying equipment
3) Mixed working medium cryogenic refrigeration system
2. Thermal properties and phase change heat transfer characteristics of low temperature mixed working medium
3. Large temperature range and high temperature heat pump technology
4. General cold environmental protection alternative medium
5. Organic Rankine cycle and waste heat utilization, compressed air energy storage
6. Room temperature magnetic refrigeration technology
